You know you are living the dream when a dear friend gifts you fresh peaches they acquired while traveling through Georgia. I’ve already shared with you my deep affection for peach pie. It’s my momma’s favorite and mine too. When you find yourself in possession of fresh peaches, drop everything else you are doing and make this pie.
{Week 24} Georgia Peach Crumble Pie
1 pie pastry shell, prepared
4 c fresh Georgia peaches, pealed and sliced
2 tbs sugar
2 tbs flour
Crumble:
1/2 c oats
1/2 c flour
4 Tbs brown sugar
1 Tbs white sugar
5 tbs butter
Combine peaches, flour and sugar and allow to stand while mixing together crumb mixture. For crumble, combine dry ingredients together then cut in softened butter until mixture comes together and crumbles nicely. In prepare pastry shell, add peaches, top with crumble and bake at. 375 for 30-40 min, until crust is golden. Enjoy!
