One of the best things about embarking on this year of pie journey has been the recipes that friends have shared with me. This week’s recipe is from a dear friend, so I renamed it after her. It’s the creamiest and most decadent no-bake chocolate pie, I’ve ever had. Something magical happens to butter when you whip it for 5 minutes, then add in eggs and chocolate. This is Mila’s magical chocolate pie, yep, magic.
{Week 38} Mila’s Chocolate Pie
Graham Cracker Crust or baked pastry
1 1/2 c powdered sugar
1/2 c and 2 TBS butter, softened
2 eggs
4 oz. semisweet chocolate, melted
1/2 c roasted pecans, chopped or whole
Beat sugar with butter for 5-6 min, until it looks like whipped cream. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well. Add melted chocolate. Add pecans or use on top. Pour into prepared pie shell and refrigerate (overnight). Garnish with whipped cream and enjoy!
